The Mastodon Record Release Party is Officially Delayed One Hour

Today we learn that the release of a new MASTODON album is a less important event than a presidential visit.  Metal Army reports that although the festivities will be delayed an hour, the party is still on:

There hasn’t been enough time to change the flyer info since our graphics team is in California and we’re based in New York, however there has been a slight change to the party tonight. President Barack Obama will be on Sunset Blvd at some point today and that is causing the street to be closed down from 4PM until roughly 8PM so we have been forced to move the party back by 1 hour!

That’s right, MASTODON’s Official ‘The Hunter’ release party will kick off tonight at 9PM sharp tonight. Everything is still happening, just an hour later than planned. The rundown for tonight’s event is now:

9PM – Doors
9:15PM – MASTODON's The Hunter is played in its entirety
10:15PM – IT'S CASUAL performs live
11:15PM – WARBRINGER guest DJs on the eve of their new album’s release!
12:15AM – MASTODON's The Hunter is played in its entirety

See you tonight!
