Tip of the day - follow THE FUNERAL PYRE around the city.  Their first appearance is at 3 PM in Boyle Heights.  Then they will find their way to Soundbite Studios to join up with the boys from Pasadena.

Great time at SoundBite Saturday. Didn't catch At Our Heels, but VYGR, Gypsyhawk, Funeral Pyre and Holy Grail made for a solid and varied bill. Really cool space inside and out, and I cannot argue with on-site tacos and cheap beers. Hope to see more shows there and could even be persuaded to catch a metal matinee if that's what noise regulations require (not that the Blvd is a serious trek, but this is both closer and more like a backyard party).

Seeing Holy Grail play in the Chapel Room was ultimately an upgrade over the patio anyway. And it was getting pretty late...
