Rusty Eye - Live At The Rainbow MMX

RUSTY EYE celebrate 15th anniversary of band with release of live CD, LIVE AT THE RAINBOW MMX

Los Angeles, CA – Los Angeles metal band, RUSTY EYE, has released Live at the Rainbow MMX, a miscellany of songs performed live at the World Famous Rainbow Bar & Grill in April of 2010. This "sonic documentary" was an unprecedented event, as Rusty Eye became the first band in The Rainbow's 38-year history to record in the fabled Hollywood bar.

Adhering to its DIY standards, Rusty Eye set up their own mobile studio inside The Rainbow to achieve the highest quality recording possible of the momentous event. Live at the Rainbow MMX captures the magic and sheer intensity from a bona-fide power trio that has stuck to an uncompromising musical vision since its inception back in 1995. While several bootleg recordings have been grabbed from live shows over the band's career, none can parallel the energy of this enchanted, "real live" event with Rusty Eye playing as razor-sharp as ever.

Live at the Rainbow MMX captures over 70 minutes of Rusty Eye's performance in the intimate Rainbow setting, amidst a select crowd of friends, fans, and those there to get their taste of the band playing live. While six songs were omitted from the recording, the band's aim was to give listeners the essence of a Rusty Eye live show by offering up a quintessential setlist, which includes smash tracks from Rust N' Roll, the Cryogenic EPStendhal Syndrome, and Possessor. Raw and real, in its production, the live album was recorded in multi-track format by Yuri Anisonyan (Fireball Ministry, My Ruin), produced by band drummer/vocalist, Miss Randall, with cover art masterfully rendered by Farron Loathing (Lightning Swords of Death).

Live cuts of "Birds of Prey," "Mr. Cannibal," and "The Serial Kind" are just a few of the tracks that exhibit the snarling musical fervor of a band that critics have described as thrashy, '70s-laden rock, with choice elements of prog rock and progressive metal. Yet, Live at the Rainbow MMX flaunts something indescribable of Rusty Eye. But, for Mr. Rust (bass, vocals), Miss Randall (drums, vocals) and guitarist Baron Murtland, that's just the business of blowing people's minds and having a good time, as usual.

Live at the Rainbow MMX CDs are a Manufacture on Demand format exclusively available at Amazon.com. Digital Downloads are available at Apple iTunes and most Digital Download and Streaming Services.
