Get Heavy With The City Of Devils

The folks of Heavy Tuesday have graciously invited us to join them this week behind the turntables at Footsie's.  Me and Professor Bunkum will be there.  What should you expect?  This is what the Professor told his circle:    

This Tuesday, November 8, L.A.’s most legal-savvy metal blog, the City of Devils, will be taking over Footsies in Cypress Park for the weekly “Heavy Tuesdays” night, where the uber hip underground metallers from Decibel Magazine let down their beards and kick it to the old school jams. 

Along with my mystery editor at C.O.D., I’ll be whipping up a deadly concoction of Accept, Motorhead, UFO, Thin Lizzy, Iron Maiden, Raven, Def Leppard (the rock years), Judas Priest, Dio and a whole raft of also-rans that will cement my coolness among record collecting geeks forever.  Killer? Steeler?  Exciter?  Basically, any band ending in “-er”?  Coming right up.

Basically, if you were in my El Camino between 1984 and 1986, you were forced to listen to this stuff, and if you were in my El Camino during that time, you probably aren’t going to be there, making that a useless marketing statement.  I’ll be sneaking in some Meatmen, Mentors or Nig Heist tunes, just to see if nasty rock still gets the metal chicks to remove their clothes.  I’m looking forward to meeting some of the regulars, photos attached.   

The party starts at 10pm sharp. Free admission, cheap bevvies.  The LAPD has already been alerted and paid off.
