Linkage
Monday, April 12, 2010 We've been collecting a lot of links. Let's hope some of them are still relevant.
- The Obelisk interviews Brant Bjork.
- We finally had the good fortune of meeting Cosmo Lee of Invisible Oranges Saturday at Spaceland. The night before, he reluctantly attended the OPETH show at the Wiltern, but all he really wanted to write about was Kenny G.
- Cosmo asked me why I don't hire a staff that can do extensive interviews with guys like Bobby Liebling. After we revealed our stats, I think he understood.
- Metal Flows in My Veins shares a review and photographs of the IMMORTAL/LIGHTNING SWORDS OF DEATH show at Avalon that I have heard not one bad thing about. With this show, OPETH and MEGADETH, Live Nation has been on a roll. I continue my efforts to get them to pay attention to us.
- XASTHUR is dead. The final statement, Portals of Sorrow, can be purchased here.
- Another Revolver Golden Gods show has passed and we now wait for it to be heavily edited for its May broadcast on VH1. But you can satisfy your metal awards fix now by voting in the UK's version of Golden Gods, presented by Metal Hammer. Two local acts - WHITE WIZZARD and HOLY GRAIL - have been nominated for "Best New Band" and you can vote for them here.
