It's Casual Has A Press Release?!?!

2009 continues to be a most excellent year for IT'S CASUAL.  We're still looking for a way to take credit for it but are faced with the fact that it would be undeserved.  Eddie does all the work.  Well, it's paid off, because they have recently announced a national tour with FU MANCHU (ASG will be along for some of the ride) and now have a professional press release to memorialize the whole deal.  Well done.

DATE: AUGUST 27, 2009

CONTACTS: eesolis1975@gmail.com; itscasualmail@yahoo.com

IT’S CASUAL TO EMBARK ON NATIONAL TOUR WITH FU MANCHU IN OCTOBER

TWO-PIECE HARDCORE PUNK/METAL ACT TO REISSUE 2007 FULL-LENGTH “THE NEW LOS ANGELES”

LOS ANGELES — Longtime hardcore punk/metal duo IT’S CASUAL, featuring guitarist/vocalist EDWARD E. SOLIS and drummer W.C.E., will be embarking on a national tour supporting headlining act FU MANCHU in October and November. The tour will start Oct. 20 at the Blank Club in San Jose and will conclude in California on Nov. 11 at the Troubadour in West Hollywood.

The upcoming tour launches just a week after the planned re-release of IT’S CASUAL’s 2007 full-length release, The New Los Angeles, which will be reissued on CD format with new artwork and two previously unreleased bonus tracks on Oct. 13 via the Friendly Hills Recording Company.

A video for the album’s title track (“The New Los Angeles”) was completed earlier this year, directed by Robert Schober a.k.a. Roboshobo (Mastodon, The B-52s, The Donnas), and is available for viewing on the band’s official YouTube page at www.youtube.com/itscasualla.

IT’S CASUAL is also Amoeba Records’ Hollywood location’s Homegrown Artist of the Month for August 2009.

IT’S CASUAL’s recent touring history includes dates in Atlanta and Athens, Ga. last year — the latter found them opening for Mastodon at the 40 Watt Club for the Chunklet Anniversary Party. The band has also tackled several dates in the Pacific Northwest, including shows with Sirhan Sirhan.

The IT’S CASUAL tour dates with Fu Manchu this October and November will feature touring drummer Tommy Holt, who will be performing in the band’s out-of-town shows.
