New Albums from Slough Feg & Crescent Shield

The new albums from SF's SLOUGH FEG and LA's CRESCENT SHIELD are streaming in their entirety on Italian label Cruz Del Sur's website.  Here are the press releases:

SLOUGH FEG

With a 20-year long career and seven full-length albums, SLOUGH FEG are a reference for metal fans around the world. As with many underrated American bands, the band had to first build their reputation in Europe to be appreciated stateside. Today the band's name lies among other top contemporary metal bands; incorporating a healthy dose of NWOBHM and love for classic metal with their own unique attributes, the band have infected and engrossed the minds of thousands of fans in recent years, due in part to touring US with THE SWORD in 2008 and having over 150,000 plays on their Myspace page.

Ape Uprising marks another step ahead in the band's colorful history, bringing forth another dose of trademark SLOUGH FEG metal, invoking tragic, emotional, passionate and yet ironic views on life. Around the figure of founding member Mike Scalzi (vocals/guitar), moves a versatile and talented lineup (bassist Adrian Maestas, “Don” Angelo Tringali on guitar and new drummer Harry Cantwell) whose chemistry reaches the highest levels yet on Ape Uprising, delivering what can be considered the heaviest SLOUGH FEG release ever!

CRESCENT SHIELD

California's traditional melodic metal band CRESCENT SHIELD and label Cruz del Sur Music are now streaming the entire new album The Stars of Never Seen. Stop by the band's site or Cruz Del Sur's site to check out the album now! The band features the talents of former DESTINY'S END guitarist Dan DeLucie and former ONWARD vocalist Michael Grant, drummer Craig Anderson (IGNITE, ENGINE) and bassist Melanie Sisneros (ex-NEW EDEN, THE IRON MAIDENS, SINERGY).

CRESCENT SHIELD enlisted the talents of legendary metal producer/engineer Bill Metoyer to co-engineer, co-mix, and master the new album and the artwork for the CD was again created by comic book artist Gerry Alanguilan. The Stars of Never Seen will be released by Cruz del Sur Music in North America on June 2nd, 2009. Interviews with the band are available now!

Neither band have announced any local shows.  SLOUGH FEG concerts are legend, as their Celtic influence leaves the crowd with little choice but to get loaded.
