It's Casual Re-Release Party @ Viper Room on May 12

Next month, IT'S CASUAL will be celebrating the re-release of their defining record, The New Los Angeles.  But this is more than a celebration of just one band or one album - this is a celebration of a burgeoning underground metal scene in Los Angeles.  It's Casual will be joined by a bunch of great bands and DJs, and even yours truly has been invited to spin a few songs during the evening.  It will be my first time DJ'ing in over 15 years, but if I'm going to make a fool of myself, there's no one I would rather do it for than Eddie Solis.  I'm psyched to see all the bands - all local, and all on my short list of must-sees.  We have one pair of tix to give away to this show - if you want them, contact us here.  Your chances will be greatly improved if you name your favorite It's Casual tune.  Alternatively, good ideas for my DJ set will be considered.  Here's the press release:

This show is to commemorate the re-issue of It's Casual's 3rd Release The New Los Angeles.

Not only is this show gonna be the band's CD release show, but it is also gonna be the world premiere of the music video for the title tranck, "The New Los Angeles". We are gonna provide a little viewing session on a screen at the Viper Room prior to It's Casual 's set. World famous Video Director Robert Schober AKA Roboshobo who is known for his work on the latest videos from Metallica, Mastodon and B52's is the Director at the helm of "The New Los Angeles" video. Google his name along with Metallica and Mastodon to get the full scoop.

And to top it off, this evening will be the grand opening of a brand new monthly club @ The Viper Room "CLUB: MY WAR!!!! The format will be Doom, Hardcore, Drone, Experimental, Power Violence, Thrash Etc.
