FARFLUNG announces a show at the Echo on March 19th, and once again they schedule a gig while I'm away in Austin.  You would be well-served to attend and mock me after for not being there.  (Stoner Rock)

Some info on ISIS's fifth full-length album, Wavering Radiant, set to be released on May 5th by Ipecac Records. (Stoner Rock)

TOMBS will be in town next month at the Troubadour opening for Pelican and Wolves in the Throne Room.  They answered some questions about their new record, Winter Hours, and other stuff.  (Crustcake)

A bit of old news, but local band BLACK MATH HORSEMAN have signed with Tee Pee Records and will release a new album, Wyllt, on April 21st that was recorded and produced by Scott Reeder of Kyuss.  (Heavy Planet).  They've also got a free show coming up at the Blue Monkey just a few doors down from the Relax Bar at Hollywood and Western.

A new vinyl record store called VACATION is opening in Hollywood, and the word is that it may specialize in metal.  Info is scarce but the store is supposed to open this month, if it hasn't already.

Santa Cruz psych rockers MAMMATUS keep racking up the endorsements.  First, Cedric Bixler-Zavala of The Mars Volta dropped their name in the New York Times.  Now, Tommy Hall, jug player and spiritual mentor in the 13th Floor Elevators, sits down with the San Francisco Weekly just before a Mammatus gig at the Hemlock Tavern in San Francisco.

Speaking of psychedelic music, Ethan Miller from COMETS ON FIRE and HOWLIN RAIN has started a blog called Silver Currant that he'll use to post music and other things on his pretty impressive mind.  He starts us off with a downloadable compilation of psych riffage provided by his European tour van driver.  Those guys always have the best taste.
