Brant Bjork @ Redwood

Legendary Kyuss and Fu Manchu drummer and now frontman Brant Bjork will be playing a solo gig in downtown LA at the Redwood Bar & Grill (316 W. 2nd St.) this Wednesday, January 7th.  The Redwood is a personal favorite, sporting a nautical (and some say pirate theme) with live music options that are becoming increasingly more interesting.  Mike Watt was just over there last weekend with his Secondmen.  This will never be a spot for real loud music, but it does offer a pretty nice setting to hear someone like Mr. Bjork strip it all down.  Catch him before he permanently leaves us for Europe.  For the unacquainted, this video will give you a sense of where he is musically these days, though there's always a chance Gardenia will find its way on to the setlist.
